Daryl’s professional career began as a research mathematician for the National Security Agency. In that capacity he designed and implemented combinatorail and stochastic process algorithms to resolve difficult problems with massive amounts of poly-structured data for digital signal processing and intelligent signal demodulation.
His recent positions as Director of Training for companies such as JBoss and SpringSource have allowed him to create globally consistent training operations processes and the certification programs for both organizations.
Currently Daryl is certified to teach the complete portfolio of the Hortonworks training curriculum from administration to data analysis and data science utilizing Pig, Hive, the MLlib and Spark.
He holds an MA from Western Maryland College and a BA in Mathematics from the University of South Florida.
